SC Democratic Party Chair Statement on Primary Results
South Carolina Democratic Party Chair Carol Fowler released the following statement tonight in response to the results of the June 8 Democratic primaries across the state:
“I congratulate all of the winners of today’s Democratic primaries. These men and women represent the ideas, values, and leadership desperately needed in South Carolina after so many years of Republican irresponsibility and scandals,“ said Fowler.
“Today’s election also marks the start of a new era in South Carolina politics. South Carolinians are eager for a fresh beginning and a new direction after eight years of failed leadership by the Republican Party.“
