October 1 – Saturday. West Side Dems 8th Annual Barbeque. Join the West Side Democrats for the 8th Annual Barbeque at Coppers Restaurant in beautiful downtown Conway. The hours are 11-3. We’ll be featuring the famous “William and Jim” barbeque and all the other great food you’ve come to expect. Williams’s Special Sauce is the talk of the town. A vegetarian option will be available. October 30 – Pulitzer Prize winning columnist Eugene Robinson will be featured in a Distinguished Lecture on Friday, September 30, 2011 at the Wheelwright Auditorium on the campus of Coastal Carolina University. The lecture begins at 7:00pm. RSVP events@coastal.edu or call 843-349-2811. Admission is free. Eugene Robinson cuts through the clutter of words to focus on the intent, objectives, and accomplishments of the Obama Administration and Congress.
