September 1 – First Thursday of the month Myrtle Beach Happy Hour, 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm., at the Anchor Cafe at Grande Dunes, 8121 Amalfi Place (approximately 82nd and U.S. 17), Myrtle Beach. September 3 – Labor Day Weekend Fish Fry. North Strand Democrats will have a fish fry at Fat Harold’s on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach from 11:00-4:00.

September 8 – South Enders Second Thursday of each month 6:00 pm. We will meet at The Borgata Restaurant, 813 Surfside Drive in Surfside Beach. For more information about the meeting, contact Steve Chand by e-mail at beserchand@yahoo.com or visit them on the web at http://www.southenders.org.

September 9 – Beach Dems Breakfast, Second Friday of each month. 8:00-9:00 am at Akels Restaurant, corner of 65th Avenue N. and Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach. Each month will feature a guest speaker. For information, contact Sally P. Howard at 843-455-1936 or sallyphoward@aol.com.

September 9 – The Horry Grand Strand Dems will meet at Friendlys Restaurant at the intersection of 47th Avenue N. and Highway 17 at 1:00. For more information contact Bea Catalano at bealap@frontier.com

September 13 – Second Tuesday of each month. North Strand Democratic Monthly Meeting. 6:00 PM- 7:00. The meeting is at The Hideaway Lounge at 1021 2nd Avenue N, North Myrtle Beach, SC. 843-280-5301). For information, contact Brian or Roberta at 272-6454.

September 15 – Third Thursday of each month – Democratic Women’s Council of Horry County (DWCHC), 5:30. The meeting location is Martin’s Restaurant, 7200 North Ocean Blvd., Myrtle Beach (corner of 73rd and N. Ocean Blvd) For more information, contact Sally P. September 17 – Saturday. Aynor Harvest Hoedown. Downtown Aynor. The little town of Aynor, in western Horry, hosts one of the counties big political events of every election year. The HCDP will be there in force. We are looking for volunteers to work a few hours. Call the Dem Party office at 488-4237

September 22 – Fourth Thursday of the month. West Side Democrats will meet at the Horry County Democratic Party Headquarters, 900 4th Avenue in downtown Conway. For more information, contact the County Office at 488-4237.

October 1 – Saturday. West Side Dems 8th Annual Barbeque. Join the West Side Democrats for the 8th Annual Barbeque at Coppers Restaurant in beautiful downtown Conway. We’ll be featuring the famous “William and Jim” barbeque and all the other great food you’ve come to expect. Williams’s Special Sauce is the talk of the town. October 3 – Monday. EC Meeting. The Horry County Executive Committee will meet in the Jury Room of the Horry County Justice Center on 2nd Avenue in Conway. The meeting begins at 6:00 pm with registration beginning at 5:30. All ECs and Alternates are urged to attend. Everyone is welcome.
